This Information Collected and Use

In the process of conducting its business Smart Web Gadgets collects information about individuals and entities it comes in contact with. That information is gathered in several ways some of which is automatic and some of which is user-inputted.

Automatic Information Collection: Host Server

Smart Web Gadget’s servers collect information about every information request it processes. IP number, host ID, time of visit and geo-location are all recorded in our server logs and statistics packages. Smart Web Gadgets uses this information to better understand the needs of Internet users and its clients. None of this information is used in such a way as to reveal the personal identity of individual users. This information will be stored and secured in accordance with U.S. Federal and applicable State laws.

Automatic Information Collection: Cookies

Smart Web Gadgets can not take responsibility for the actions of third parties making use of Smart Web Gadget tools, APIs, applications, widgets, gadgets or other products, even if such use constitutes a violation of U.S. or international law. 

Use of Smart Web Gadgets products by developers constitutes a business relationship wherein we provide one or more services for your web site(s). In exchange, Smart Web Gadgets reserves the right to use contact information collected during data-submission to deliver notices regarding changes or updates to our services, to provide free-information newsletters (SiteProNews and SEO-News), and to inform users about additions to the Smart Web Gadgets and Jayde-Online Network of websites, or to send carefully screened announcements, offers and information on behalf of our partners or advertisers.

Use of Smart Web Gadgets by individual Web surfers constitutes an understanding by the user that Smart Web Gadgets is a tool and application maker and, unless it made and marketed a specific tool, gadget, software or application for general usage under its own brand-name, is not responsible for the use of its tools or information gathered by third parties.Smart Web Gadgets does not sell or commercially share information gathered by cookies to third parties.User-Inputted Information

Some Smart Web Gadgets require user inputted information such as Zip Code, geo-location, specific information and data-feed options, etc… For example, a web gadget designed to give local weather information would provide information based on Zip Code. This information is stored in Cookies which are automatically gathered by some Smart Web Gadget applications. Please see the above section dealing with information collected through use of cookies.

You may remove yourself from any or all of our notice and announcement mailings at anytime using the unsubscribe methods provided in those mailings. Any mailing received from our company is clearly identified and includes a valid email address and unsubscribe link which you can use to remove yourself from future mailings. Should you encounter problems in this regard, contact support@smartwebgadgets.com. Our turnaround time for responding to unsubscribe requests is generally 24 hours. 

Requesting Customized Smart Web Gadgets

You will be asked to provide certain personal information when entering a request for customized Smart Web Gadgets including your name, address, telephone number. The personal information collected during this process is used to manage each customer’s accounts and files. Smart Web Gadgets does not rent or sell email addresses nor any other personal data, unless specifically stated otherwise or in special circumstances.

However, in instances where Smart Web Gadgets and a partner jointly promote services, Smart Web Gadgets may provide the partner certain personal information, such as the name, address, and username of persons who subscribed to the Services as a result of the joint promotion for the sole purpose of allowing us and the partner to assess the results of the promotion. In this instance, the partner may not use personal information for any other purpose.

Smart Web Gadgets may also generate non-identifying and aggregate profiles from personal information users provide during registration (such as the total number, but not the names, of users).

Your personal information is stored in a protected directory. Access is restricted to Smart Web Gadgets staff.

Special Cases

It is Smart Web Gadget’s policy not to use or share personal information about Visitors in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses. Change of Ownership

In the event of a change in ownership, or a direct merger or acquisition of Smart Web Gadgets with another entity or multiple entities, all (or select aspects) of Smart Web Gadgets customer information (including email addresses) may be transferred to a separate entity or entities. All Smart Web Gadgets customers will be notified within five business days of any change in ownership, merger or acquisition of Smart Web Gadgets assets by a third party. Subscribers and users may choose to access and modify any of their registration and subscription information at that time.

Changes to this Policy

Smart Web Gadgets may amend this policy from time to time. If significant changes are made in the way your personal information is used, we will post a prominent announcement on our site notifying you of the change.
